System Requirements

As with all software applications, the newer and faster your server and workstations are, the better and more reliable they will perform.

The server and workstations must have reliable access to the Internet. Our software is integrated with various outside services which can provide payment processing, address verification, tax calculation, tax reporting and shipping calculations to name a few.

Below outlines the minimum Database/Server Requirements that must be met to utilize the Natural Solution’s suite of products:

• Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (64-bit version) with .NET Framework 4.6 or greater is supported.
• Active Directory: All servers & workstations must be a member of an Active Directory domain.  In addition, all users must login to an Active Directory domain.
• Database Software: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (64-bit version) (Standard or Enterprise) w/CU2 applied or greater is supported.  NOTE: free/web/developer versions of SQL such as SQL Express, SQL Web and SQL Developer are NOT supported.
• Processor: A Multi-core CPU is recommended
• RAM: Minimum 8GB required. It is recommended to utilize the maximum that can be installed based on your business needs.
• Disk: Disk size requirements are entirely dependent on your data requirements. Multiple Disks and/or RAID highly recommended.
• Backup: Backups to tape, external disks or by any other means available are required. 
• Networking: 100mbps (or better) Ethernet
• Un-interruptible Power Supply: It is recommended that all servers utilize an Un-interruptible Power Supply (UPS) that is monitored by the server.
• Remote Desktop:  Access to Remote Desktop or a VPN service with file transfer capabilities is required for support access.

SMTP

In our application, mass emails can be sent.  For clients that will utilize this functionality a dedicated SMTP provider rated to support the volume of emails for your business is needed.   This eliminates the limitations to the number of emails that can be sent and also enables a higher delivery rate by reducing the risk of rejections by antispam filters and Internet service providers.

Workstations

Workstations must be able to connect to your server, whether it is at your facility or whether it is hosted in a 'Cloud'.   In general, if a workstation can comfortably run any of the Microsoft Office products, it should be able to run the Natural Suite application.   However, if you are utilizing Remote Desktop Services on your 'Cloud' server, and your local workstations are simply used to connect to your 'Cloud' server, this may dramatically reduce the workstation requirements.

Below outlines the minimum Workstation Requirements:

• Operating System:   Microsoft  Windows 10 Pro (64-bit version) or newer is recommended. (however the 32 bit version will work.  Home , RT  & S versions of Windows are NOT supported
• RAM: 4GB or more (some functionality needs more)
• Disk: 2GB free
• Video: (1920x1080) or better
• Monitor: 19" monitor or better
• Networking: 100mbps (or better) Ethernet

NOTE: Microsoft's Client Access Licenses are both required for access to the file & database server(s).
